Since the inception of UCS, Cesare has been part of the UCS platform engineering team in charge of the Cisco VIC, where he managed the development of software projects in the areas of virtualization, high performance computing and network services, including VM-FEX, VMDirectPath (UPT), usNIC, NetFlow+ (“and more to come of exciting ones !”).
Prior to that, Cesare spent his career developing data center products: first the Catalyst 6500 at Cisco ISBU, and then ESX 4.0 at VMware networking R&D for three exciting years across the IPO.
Cesare holds a master degree in Electronics Engineering, with specialization in Computing Systems, from Universita’ di Parma, Italy.
Besides delivering usable products based on cutting-edge technology, Cesare enjoys playing soccer, tennis, reading and volunteering.
